i don't have any new chikas pero nka-text ko si met last monday and sabi nya karl will have a bday party on sept 2, 2 yrs old na cya! grabe ang bilis noh?! as for me & richie, okay naman kmi dito. wlang msyadong happenings, wkdays dinner; malling or badminton on wkends. di pa kmi mkapag-out of town uli kc ngiipon pa. sana by oct pra may makwento nman ako. ;)

excitement was over the top. can you imagine seeing your friend again after seven years? seven long years. the last time we saw each other was during high school graduation, so we were really thrilled. her son, nate, short for nathan, was so big considering his age. amee asked us (cathy and me) to be nathan's godmothers. Delighted as we are, cathy and i haven't heard from amee up to now. They moved to San Diego, so they would probably hold the Christening there.

Deep within a forest a little turtle began to climb a tree. After hours of effort he reached the top, jumped into the air waving his front legs and crashed to the ground. After recovering, he slowly climbed the tree again, jumped, and fell to the ground.

The turtle tried again and again while a couple of birds sitting on a branch watched his sad efforts. Finally, the female bird turned to her mate.

"Dear," she chirped, "I think it's time to tell him he's adopted."

a weekend to remember

cathy n i spent a wonderful weekend together. on july 8, we went to sixflags waterworld with some of my friends. that night, we fell in line for almost an hour to get good seats for pirates2, which was a great movie by the way. next morning, we heard mass and went to a buffet right after.

p.s. cats, just in case you change your mind, the paintball thing will be on Saturday in Vallejo =) if you can't make it, its ok, i understand...

wow! time flies! the last time i saw karl, he's pretty a baby enjoying the comfort of the portable crib (o ayan, proof d pa ako ready, d ko lam ang tawag wehehehe)..now i was just amazed when karen sent those pictures: he's big now...

Welcome to chikagalore!

"Kung wei tong che! Kung wei lau she..."
Doesn't this ring a bell to you guys? well, it does to me.
A trainload of memories rushes over me. I remember a plethora of events from high school days: enjoying fish-fillet-on-a-stick, ice tea with pearls, and siomai ni ma sa canteen; playing volleyball; hanging out at lex's place; swimming at maan's resort; celebrating karen's town fiesta; rooting for met; playing sipa; hearing tif's update on coca cola guy; singing with marie during chinese class; cheating during exams; "loveteams"; and so much more. So much has been said and done, but it won't stop there. The bond that we all share was created to last for a lifetme. Busy as we've become with our own lives, I'm so glad that we still have time to keep each other updated on things. And this, my dear friends, is a venue where any CHIKA is greatly appreciated and welcomed. With each and everyone's participation, we'll have a GALORE of things to think and hear about. Hence, the name "chikagalore" is now coined.
(p.s. i know this is a lame excuse for the crappy title, but hey, all the good ones are taken and it's easy to remember right?! hehehe)
